Are you good at all sports, or is there anything you're rubbish at?
I enjoy most sports and will give anything a try but I’m awful at Ten-Pin Bowling as the Tennishead team have witnessed!
If you could play mixed doubles with any player, past or present, who would it be?
Stefan Edberg or Roger Federer. Both classy tennis players.
Do you get more nervous match point up or match point down? (Or neither!)
Both depending on the situation!
Will you consider setting up some kind of tennis academy or club in Laos?
That’s something that interests me in the future. It’s a great idea and hopefully I’ll have the chance to make a difference.
What is your favourite non-slam tournament?
I think it may have to be Miami. I like it there and the climate and there’s always a buzz during the tournament.
I find the British Media put lots of pressure on the players. How is your relationship with them?
It’s unfortunate when the media want to be negative about British tennis but it’s not something I have control over. I just try and do my best and get on with it. Most of the British journalists I know are nice people.
Great to see you back in action. Can I ask you if it's just a tad bit frustrating playing an ITF event when your ranking last year had you playing with the elite on the WTA tour?
It’s not frustrating. I just accept it’s something I have to do at the moment to get my ranking back up and the better I do, the sooner I can get back to where I was.
Great performance in Memphis Anne! You've done us all proud, hard luck on not quite making it to the final. How do you enjoy competing out in America?
Thank you. I love competing out in the States. I feel comfortable there and the people are friendly.
Any chance you will be playing in Canada in 2010?
I hope so! The WTA event in Montreal is a great tournament and I hope to be there this summer.
What is your fastest ever serve?
I’ve clocked 115mph in a match but there’s not always a speed gun on court so you never know…
