I notice you play quite a few ITF events. What are they like to play in? Is the standard much different to WTA events?
They’re just tournaments run on a smaller scale. It varies from country to country but every match is tough as there’s more depth in womens tennis now than ever before.
Are you going to watch the Olympics in 2012? What events do you most want to see?
I’m hoping that I’ll be part of the Great Britain Olympic tennis team. I’d love to see as many different events as possible, especially Fencing and Cycling in the Velodrome.
Are you a direct entry into Roland Garros this year?
I’m three out of main draw so there might be a chance of me sneaking in depending on injuries with other players
What did you think of the royal wedding?
I loved every moment of the Royal Wedding and I think I have withdrawal symptoms now from it. I love weddings in general, although I’m in no rush to get married myself!
You’ve been a fantastic ambassador for Britain over the years and you are also a fantastic tennis player, my question is – Who has been your toughest ever opponent and why?
There have been plenty of tough opponents over the years so it’s hard to name one person in particular. Thanks for the support though :-)
The “in” colour for this year seems to be that awful Shrek green. Please tell me Wilson don’t have any dresses in this particular shade lined up for you!?
Wilson have better taste fortunately, so you won’t be seeing me in shrek green.
You are at the X Factor auditions, nervously waiting to sing before Louis, Simon, Dannii and Cheryl. What would be your audition song, and your chances of Xmas No.1?
I have a terrible voice so I would have to make up for it with silliness to entertain the judges and so I get asked to come back to the finals with all the other rejects! My choice of song would probably be Dancing Queen by Abba – that’s usually a popular karaoke song that my friends and I sing completely out of tune!
Which male tennis player do you currently most enjoy watching and why?
Rafa Nadal is my favourite player to watch along with Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfred Tsonga.
Do you enjoy the post match press conferences and what's the most difficult question you have ever been asked?
Its part of my job and I don’t have a problem with answering most questions. Obviously, after losing a tennis match, it’s more difficult.
Do you wear sunscreen when you play?
All the time. I use factor 30 at least when I’m outdoors in the sun.
