Keothavong and Camerin into Memphis quarters…

Anne Keothavong notched up her second victory in as many days in Memphis when she eased through her first round doubles with Italian partner Maria Elena Camerin on Tuesday.

The British No.1 and Camerin – the girl she beat in the first round of the singles on Monday – thrashed Hungarian Melinda Czink and Canada’s Stephanie Dubois 6-1, 6-1 on day three of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships.

The victory sets up a date with the top seeds in the doubles, American Vania King and Russian Alla Kudryavtseva, which is the fifth match on court 1 at the Memphis Racket Club on Wednesday.

Before that though the 25-year-old Londoner will be back on court for a singles at the $220,000 Sony Ericsson WTA Tour indoor event.

Fourth-seeded Keothavong is the second match on Grandstand when she takes on Portuguese hot prospect Michelle Larcher de Brito in the second round.

The winner of that clash will go into the last eight where they will take on New Zealand’s Marina Erakovic, the fifth seed, for a place in the semis.
