Anne joins forces with Wasserman…

British No.1 Anne Keothavong has joined the top global sports representation company, Wasserman, it was announced on April 16.

Anne, 25, said: “I am really excited about joining Wasserman. It’s been a great 12 months for me and I’ve got so much to look forward to on and off the court. I feel like this is another big step forward for me in my career and it’s going to be fantastic to have Wasserman behind me.”

Anne, from Hackney, London, became the first British woman in 16 years to break into the top 50 of the WTA world singles rankings earlier this year and has established herself as one of the most improved players on the women’s tour over the last 12 months.

Anne has already reached two WTA Tour semi-finals this year in Auckland and Memphis and is currently 52nd in the world rankings, just four spots below her career-high ranking of 48, achieved in February this year.

Wasserman Chief Operation Officer (Europe) Sam Rush said: “Anne has already established herself as one of our most successful female tennis players for years and has a great personality. We are really looking forward to working with her and welcoming her to Wasserman.”

Earlier this year, Wasserman signed Greg Rusedski to further develop his broadcast career as well as his mentoring role with the LTA.

Ask Anne

Did you twist your knee in attempting to avoid the fence or did you do the damage actually colliding with it?

From: Phil

I twisted my knee by trying to avoid hitting the fence too fast and hard. I still ended up colliding with the fence after twisting my knee anyway though!
