Anne exits Miami after sad news

The world No.124 heads home to be with her family after Miami defeat

Anne Keothavong bowed out of Miami’s Sony Ericsson Open after a 6-4 6-2 defeat to Austria’s Tamira Paszek.

And the 26-year-old admitted that her mind was elsewhere after the sad news of the death of her Grandmother on Tuesday.

“Frankly tennis didn’t seem that important today, she said. “I wasn’t there mentally and I kept trying to fight but the errors just kept coming off my racket.

“Right now, I just want to go back home and be with my family.”
